Prachi Gothi is an abstract painter who makes large, energetic paintings exploring the dichotomy of conflicting human emotions in today's fast-paced day and age through the use of her vibrant yet restrained palette.
Born and raised in Mumbai, Gothi completed her MA Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art & Design, London in 2010 and since then, her work has featured in exhibitions and is in collections across India, UK and Europe. She currently lives and works in London.
Drawing inspiration from the mundane as well as from her personal life experiences, Gothi primarily works with acrylic on canvas.
Through her works, she attempts to make the viewer enter into and navigate through a unique space that is the process of becoming something else.
